In today’s tutorial I’m going to share how you can make beautiful Christmas Crafts using Christmas ornaments from Dollar Tree.
For our Christmas Craft Projects we’ll be making this beautiful Christmas Card and snowflake wand.
We’ll be using two ornaments that you can get at Dollar Tree and Dollartree.com We’ll use the snowflake ornament for our snowflake wand and the bow ornament for our Christmas Card.
Snowflake Wand Tutorial
We begin our snowflake wand by trimming off the ornament string.
Then with some decorative die-cuts, we layer our snowflake. We use a hot-glue gun and some foam dots for dimension.
You can hot glue a flat back pearl to the center of your snowflake for some added elegance.
For our wand stick, we use a paper straw. We flatten out the end that goes to the back of your snowflake and hot glue it into place. You can then add a pretty die-cut on the back to cover up the spot where you flattened out the straw and hot-glued.
Then you can add trims for that shabby chic effect.
Add a coordinating pretty bow to top off your trims.
Christmas Card Tutorial
For our handmade Christmas card we’re keeping it simple, yet beautiful! We begin by trimming a piece of card-stock to 10 x 5 and fold it right down the middle.
We then take a piece of designer paper and trim it down to four and 7/8 by four and 7/8; and adhere it to the base of our card with some double sided tape.
We use double sided tape to add a piece of decorative washi to our Christmas card.
You can then use foam dots or a foam backing to add dimension to a decorative die-cut frame. A die-cut frame will look beautiful behind your bow.
