Create Festive DIY Christmas Treat Bags at Home

Hi crafty friend! Welcome back to our little corner of creativity. In today’s tutorial, I’m showing you how to make DIY Christmas treat bags using items you probably already have in your craft stash. These little projects are perfect for adding a personal touch to holiday celebrations, gifting friends, or surprising loved ones with something handmade.

If you’ve been following along, you might remember a past project where I created handmade number tags. I finally found a fun way to use them: on 13 treat bags I made for a group of teenage girls visiting my home. And yes, the 13th bag got an extra-special handmade bow and flourish D-cuts to make it stand out!

Step 1: Adding Dimension to Your Tags

To start, I added dimension to my number tags using pre-cut pieces of fun foam. This simple trick instantly elevates your tags and makes each treat bag feel extra special.

Step 2: Making Bag Toppers

Next, we cut 13 bag toppers. You can use any bag topper dies you have, but I used my own toppers designed for Craft Stash. I kept the process simple:

1. Adhere a paper lace embellishment to the bottom of the bag topper.
2. Attach the number tag.
3. Add any winter holiday-themed sticker embellishments from your stash.

Step 3: Assembling the Treat Bags

Once all toppers were ready, it was time to assemble the DIY Christmas treat bags. Each bag turned out unique and festive — and making the 13th bag extra-special was a fun way to show attention to detail.

This project is a great way to get the whole family involved, add festive charm to your home, or create meaningful gifts.
