DIY Halloween Embellishment Book and Mini Album

This week I’m sharing a super fun Halloween project that doubles as both an embellishment book and a mini album. I also have a giveaway running, so you’ll definitely want to check out the video I’ve embedded below.

What makes this project extra special is that I created it using a Santa bag box die set—proving that you don’t always need to buy new supplies to make something unique. By rethinking the metal dies you already own, you can save money while still crafting something one-of-a-kind. For the spine, I used my Cinch machine from We R Memory Keepers, and then I added a handmade charm dangle with fluffy pom-poms and beaded details for that extra touch of whimsy.

Inside the embellishment book, I tucked in goodie bags filled with charms and crafty items for the recipient. It’s such a fun way to surprise a friend, swap partner, or even a customer if you’re selling handmade pieces. I also included a custom beaded key-chain with girly pink charms—because who doesn’t love extra happy mail?

I used papers from our brand-new Summerween collection, which brings a fresh, whimsical vibe to Halloween crafting. The collection is available in my shop, along with beads, charms, and key chain supplies so you can make one just like this.

Crafting Smarter with Metal Dies

One of the biggest takeaways from this project is that you can stretch your crafting dollars by using dies you already own in new ways. Box dies, tag dies, or even shape dies can be turned into covers for mini albums and embellishment books. Once you start looking at your die collection differently, the creative possibilities open right up!
