If you’re anything like me, you probably have memorydex dies in your stash that haven’t seen the light of day in a while. Well, this sweet little box project is just the thing to bring them back out! I recently put together a handmade memorydex box album using my 5×5 paper collection, Tasty Treats by Decor8yourlife, and I wanted to share the results with you, along with a bit of the process and inspiration behind it.
This box holds seven memorydex cards, each one made using a different shaped die from my stash. I used a mix of scrapbooking embellishments from my personal collection and from my shop — including flat-back pearls, floral appliqués, bows, lace trims, and layered cardstock. Some cards were made with doily shape craft-dies and all have sweet sentiments peeking out. There are even cards featuring the characters from my paper collection. Everything is coordinated in a soft green and strawberry theme, making it perfect for spring or summertime crafting!
Building the Box from Scratch

Once all of the memorydex cards were finished, I gathered them together and measured the stack. That measurement helped me figure out how wide and tall my box needed to be. I used heavyweight white watercolor paper for the base and layered one of the gingham prints from the Tasty Treats collection across all sides. I also added some detail with border punches, giving it a cute decorative edge.
The final box turned out sturdy, functional, and just so pretty to look at. This makes a great gift idea for crafty friends or a fun way to store journaling cards, quotes, small photos, or even affirmations. Since the memorydex format uses tabbed cards, you can divide sections up however you like. It could even work as a rotating seasonal inspiration deck.

What Makes This Collection Special?
My Tasty Treats 5×5 paper collection is something I designed myself with joy and intention. Each page is printed on 65 lb, acid- and lignin-free card-stock, which makes it perfect for fussy cutting, layering, and die-cutting without tearing or warping. Because I print in-house, I maintain full control over the quality and availability of my papers — and that means you get exclusive designs you won’t find anywhere else.

Whether you’re making cards, tags, journals, or mini albums, the patterns in this collection are versatile enough for a wide range of paper crafting projects. I kept the scale of the design smaller on purpose so that it fits well in compact formats like this memorydex box. It also pairs beautifully with trims, buttons, pearls, and vintage-style embellishments.
