Today I’m sharing a Heartfelt Creations Easel Card. As you may already know, I love card making. I think it’s a wonderful past time that allows for plenty of self-expression. Don’t let all the layers intimidate you. Making shaped easel cards such as this one is actually simpler than it looks. Just grab your favorite papers, frame dies, embellishment dies and give it a go!

This beautiful dimensional easel card was made using the following papers, die-sets and stamps:
- Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose Collection
- Heartfelt Creations Berry Blossoms Cling Stamps
- Heartfelt Creations Berry Blossoms Die-set
- Heartfelt Creations Arianna Lace Die-set
- Spellbinders Floral Ovals Die-set
- Spellbinders Classic Oval, LG Die-set
- Spellbinders Les Papillions Two Die-set
- Graphic 45 Decades Ink French Lilac
- Graphic 45 Decades Ink Precious Pink
- Graphic 45 Decades Ink Velvet Teal
- Graphic 45 Decades Ink Antique Moss
- Wink of Stella – Clear
- Foam Squares
I stamped and die-cut several flowers, inked them with coordinating ink, applied Wink of Stella, then glued each one on top of the other. I also added a flat back pearl at the center of each flower.
I made the pretty leaf designs with the same set of Heartfelt Creations dies. Next I inked them and I also applied Wink of Stella to each leaf.

I die-cut the butterfly using a piece of scrap from the Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose Collection, applied Wink of Stella and glued it right on top of the flower. The flourishes that you see where made with one of the dies from the Heartfelt Creations Arianna Lace Die-set and white card stock.

What I love about shaped easel cards is that you can pretty much use any favorite frame card die that you have on hand. I went with my Spellbinders Floral Ovals die-set for the shape; and for the center picture I used my Spellbinders Classic Oval LG die.
You’ll also noticed that finial that I added on top of the card. That came from an old Spellbinders die-set. I threw away the package awhile back (my cat chewed on it). I’m sorry I can’t remember the name.
I have a video tutorial that I recently made for another easel card. It uses a different set of frame dies, but the concept is exactly the same. You may click here to be taken to that easel frame card tutorial.
I hope that you’ve enjoyed this project share and remember friends, you can do this. It’s just a matter of layering several pretty die-cuts, and using your foam squares for that dimensional look.
Let me know what you think of my Heartfelt Creations Easel Card in the comments section below. Until next time. Happy paper crafting!
