The Tutorial
First you begin by trimming a piece of card stock to 10×5. You’ll then place it on your scoring board horizontally and score it in half, at the five inch mark. Then score the first quadrant in half again at the 2 and a half inch mark. Fold along the score lines. This is your card base.
Second, you’ll trim another piece of plain card stock to 5×5 and attach this to the lower half of your card base. This is your easel.
Third, cut your decorative papers to 4 7/8 x 4 7/8 and you’ll adhere these with your scor-tape to the front and inside of your card.
Fourth, Die-cut your cake, candle and flower pieces from your Die Kit of the Month. Place two flower pieces using your pop dots midway on the inside of your card. These will hold your easel in place. You may decorate the edge of the inner card with some flat back pearls as I’ve done here.
Fifth, put your cupcake pieces together by gluing the liner part on the card, using the pop dots to add the frosted cake, and use the pop dots again for the flower garland and the candle. Attach a sentiment with pop dots, and a large flower embellishment at the bottom and you’re done!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this quick and easy Spellbinders card tutorial. Happy Crafting!
