If you enjoy creative journaling, memory keeping, or working in Traveler’s Notebooks, you’ll love this quick and easy project!

As part of my Cozy Summer series, I recently created these adorable little journal pocket folders using papers from my Honey Bees & Summer Breeze scrapbook collection. They are perfectly sized to fit alongside my altered mini composition notebooks inside passport-size Traveler’s Notebooks and provide extra storage for journal cards, ephemera, stickers, notes, stamped sentiments, and all those little treasures we love to collect.

One of the things I love most about this project is that it only requires one sheet of scrapbook paper and comes together in just a few minutes. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced paper crafter, these pocket folders are a fun way to add both beauty and organization to your journals.

Supplies Used

For this project, I used papers from my Honey Bees & Summer Breeze collection, one of several collections featured in my Cozy Summer series. The soft colors, whimsical illustrations, and cozy summer vibe make these little folders even more special.

You can find the Honey Bees & Summer Breeze collection and more paper crafting supplies in my shop at Decor8yourlife.

Cutting and Scoring Measurements

Start with one sheet of scrapbook paper measuring:

6¾ inches high x 7½ inches wide

Place the paper horizontally on your scoring board with the 7½-inch side running across the top.

Score at:

• ½ inch

• 3¾ inches

• 7 inches

Turn the paper one quarter turn counterclockwise and score at:

• 4½ inches

After that, the fun begins!

I share all of the trimming tips, pocket construction, assembly, and finishing details in the video tutorial below.
